Agreement

These terms govern your school's use of Shulebora. By creating a school account or signing in as a member of a school, you accept them. The Head of Institution (or the person who created the school account) accepts them on behalf of the school.

The service

Shulebora is a cloud school management system for Kenyan schools covering learner records, CBE and 8-4-4 assessment, report cards, fees and M-Pesa reconciliation, attendance, staff management, parent notifications, KEMIS exports and related modules. Which modules are visible to your school depends on your plan and settings.

Trial, subscriptions and fees

Every new school gets a 7-day free trial with full access. After the trial, monthly subscription applies by school type: Pre-Primary Ksh 500, Primary Ksh 1,000, Junior Secondary Ksh 2,500, Senior Secondary Ksh 3,500, and Mixed/all-through Ksh 5,000 per month. A one-time onboarding fee applies to set up your school.

Subscriptions are billed monthly in Kenyan shillings. If payment is not received, access may be suspended until the account is settled; your data is retained during suspension.

Accounts and access

Your school is responsible for the accounts it creates, the roles it assigns and the confidentiality of its join code and passwords. Accounts must not be shared. Tell us immediately if you believe an account has been compromised.

Acceptable use

You may not use Shulebora to store unlawful content, attempt to access another school's data, probe or disrupt the service, resell access without a written agreement, or send messages to guardians that are not school communication.

Your data

Your school owns its data. We process it only to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export learner, fee and assessment data at any time. On cancellation you may request permanent deletion in writing from the Head of Institution.

Availability and support

We aim to keep Shulebora available continuously, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service; maintenance and third-party outages (hosting, SMS gateway, M-Pesa) can occur. Support is provided by WhatsApp and email during working hours.

Third-party services

Fee payments rely on M-Pesa and parent messaging relies on our SMS gateway partner. Delivery, timing and charges for those services are governed by the providers, and we are not liable for their failures or delays.

Limitation of liability

Shulebora is provided on an as-is basis. To the extent permitted by Kenyan law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the subscription fees your school paid in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of data caused by your own deletions.

Cancellation

You may cancel at any time; the subscription runs to the end of the paid month. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, and will give notice and a chance to export data unless the breach is unlawful.

Changes, law and contact
